Everything you need to sign. Nothing you don't.
Signature Maker does one job: get your signature onto a lease, a permission slip, an invoice or an HR form in about a minute.
Draw it
Sign with your finger or a stylus on a full-width canvas. Pick the pen thickness and ink color, clear and retry as often as you like.
Type it
Type your name and choose a handwriting style: Great Vibes, Allura, Sacramento, Kaushan Script or Pacifico.
Scan it from paper
Photograph the signature you already use, crop it, then tune brightness, contrast and exposure until the paper disappears.
PDFs and photos
Open a multi-page PDF from Files, Drive or email, or a picture from your gallery: a photographed form, a screenshot, a scan.
Place it anywhere
Drop your signature on any page, drag it onto the line and pull the corner handle to resize it. Add initials on other pages too.
Save and share
Save Document creates the signed PDF or image. Keep it on your phone or send it straight on by email, messaging, AirDrop or print.

Save and send
Tap Save Document. Save the signed PDF or image to your phone, or share it by email, message, AirDrop or print.
Signature Maker at a glance
Signature Maker creates a simple electronic signature: an image of your signature placed on the document. Under the US ESIGN Act and UETA, and the EU's eIDAS Regulation, that is accepted for most everyday paperwork.

Questions, answered
How do I sign a PDF on my phone?
Install Signature Maker for iPhone or Android and create your signature once (draw, type or scan it). Tap + under Documents and pick a PDF or a photo, tap Add Signature, drag and resize the signature where it belongs, then tap Save Document. You can then save the signed file to your phone or share it by email, messaging or AirDrop.
How much does the Signature Maker app cost?
The app is free to download and free to use for creating signatures and signing documents. An optional Premium subscription, bought inside the app, removes ads. You can restore or manage your subscription from the app's Settings.
Can I use my real handwritten signature?
Yes. In the app, choose Scan, take a photo of your signature on white paper (or pick one from your photo library), crop it, and adjust brightness, contrast, exposure and saturation until the background disappears. You can also draw it on the screen with your finger or a stylus, or type it in one of five handwriting fonts.
Can I sign an image, a screenshot or a photo of a paper document?
Yes. Signature Maker signs images (JPG, PNG and other photos from your gallery) as well as PDF files. That makes it easy to sign a photographed paper form, a screenshot or a scanned page.
Is a typed or drawn electronic signature legally binding?
In most everyday cases, yes. In the United States the ESIGN Act (2000) and UETA say a signature cannot be denied legal effect just because it is electronic, and the EU eIDAS Regulation recognises simple electronic signatures too. Exceptions include wills, some family-law and court documents, and anything that must be notarised or requires a qualified signature. What makes a signature binding is your intent to sign; if in doubt, ask the party that requested it. This is general information, not legal advice.
What is the difference between an electronic signature and a digital signature?
An electronic signature is any electronic mark that shows you agree to a document, such as a typed name, a drawn signature or an image of your handwritten one. A digital signature is a specific, cryptographic kind: it uses a certificate to prove who signed and that the file was not changed afterwards. Signature Maker creates electronic signatures, which is what most forms, leases, permission slips and invoices need.
Where are my signatures and documents stored?
Your saved signatures and the documents you add are kept inside the app on your phone. When you tap Save Document, the app sends that document and the position of your signature to the Signature Maker server, which returns the finished signed file. The free online signature generator never uploads anything.
Can I save more than one signature?
Yes. The app keeps as many signatures as you like, each with its own name (for example "Work signature" or "Initials"), so you can pick the right one for each document. Long-press a signature to export it as an image or delete it.
Does the app work on iPad and Android tablets?
Yes. Signature Maker runs on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets. A larger screen is handy for drawing your signature with a stylus such as Apple Pencil.
Is there a free web version?
Yes, for creating the signature itself. The free online signature generator lets you type your name in 14 handwriting fonts or draw it, and download a transparent PNG, with no sign-up. To place a signature on PDFs and photos, use the app.
